This year we’ll be focusing on history, dinosaurs, genealogy, and of course reading! From exploring Minecraft archeology to digging in our Dino dig pit, we’ll be celebrating all things dinosaurs and history. Don’t forget that some of our programs can get messy so make sure to check the event description for more information about what we’ll be doing at each event.

Traditionally, summer reading programs are designed to encourage elementary-aged children to keep reading during summer vacation. Preventing the “summer slide” continues to be the main objective of summer reading programs. However, we’re pushing to encourage all age groups to experience the joys of reading during the summer!

Everyone looks forward to summer regardless of age. It’s the time to take vacations or spend days relaxing outside and to catch up on your reading list. Our Summer Reading program is an opportunity to explore new interests and genres, interact with other community members, and have fun!
