Welcome Back to FPL!

FPL Patrons,

Welcome back! We are so excited to be legally permitted to begin offering “physical” library services again. Although we have been planning for the safe, phased reopening of our buildings since early April, unlike restaurants and retail stores the staff have not been allowed to offer curbside/drive-up window service or even enter the library buildings beyond minimum essential needs.

We care deeply about protecting the health of you, your family and our families. Every returned library item will be quarantined for a minimum of three days before becoming available for checkout. Our staff will follow national, state, and local public health agency guidelines when handling and providing items to you.

On Monday, June 8, we will begin readying the Library building for curbside service. Our phone service will also begin on June 8 during our regular business hours.  Our curbside service begins on Tuesday, June 9 and if you have any items already on hold from before the shutdown, we will be calling you to let you know the procedure for picking it up. We appreciate your continued patience as we currently have hundreds of hold items to process. You are welcome to continue to place new holds requests. We have received deliveries of many brand new items during our closure than have been ordered remotely!

We will remain at curbside service levels until we feel confident that we can allow patrons’ access to the building, while keeping both our patrons and our staff safe. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy our curbside pickup service as well as the vast wealth of digital materials and services and a ton of virtual programming that has become very popular via Facebook and  fraserpubliclibrary.org. We remain ready and pleased to continue to serve you online for library card applications, program registration, and many other services.  Also remember that our WiFi signal extends outside our building and into the nearby parking lot.  Please remember to social distance!

On behalf of the entire FPL family, thank you for your patience as we strive to provide you with best-in-class library service for the duration of this challenging time and beyond.
