An Important COVID-19 Update From The Fraser Public Library

To all our patrons,
A great deal has changed in the last 48 hours as we have another update regarding the operation of the library in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Michigan Library Association has made the following statement “MLA is using our role as a leader and advocate of Michigan libraries to call on all public libraries in Michigan to close their doors until Sunday, April 5th.”

To comply with MLA’s recommendation, FPL will close its doors to the public effective Monday, March 16, 2020 and will remain closed to the public through April 5, 2020.  That being said, on Monday we will be evaluating what services and programs we would be able to offer during our closure. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we must comply with MLA and the Governor’s recommendation for stopping the spread of contagion.  Our first priority is to keep our patrons and staff safe.  Please continue to check our website and Facebook page for further updates regarding services.

Another update will be sent out regarding policies of services we can offer during this coming week. Returns, holds, etc. will be discussed as well and we will communicate those policies as soon as information becomes available.

Please stay safe!
