Monthly Storytimes for Kids

Note for all storytime events: PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY FOR ALL PROGRAMS-Children are easily distracted.  Late arrivals quickly become the focus of everyone’s attention.  Arrive early to visit the bathroom, chat and choose a great seat.  Thank you.
 
Baby Storytime

This storytime is geared specifically towards babies 0-18 months. Parents, family members, and caregivers are invited to bring their young ones for a morning of songs, rhymes, and even a story! This is a great way to introduce literacy practices to your baby! Storytime runs about 20 minutes and is followed by open play. Registration required. Meets on Monday, January 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 10:30 – 11:30 am.

 

Toddler Storytime

This storytime is for children 18 to 36 months. Children will listen to stories, sing rhymes, and will sometimes make a craft or do a special activity. The benefits of story time for children include: increased attention span, enhanced visual discrimination skills, auditory processing, reinforcing word recognition, examining social situations and behaviors, and instilling a love of books! Registration required. Meets on Wednesday, January 17th, 24th, and 31st from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.

 

Preschool Storytime

Children ages 3 to 5 will listen to stories, sing rhymes, and make a craft in each  story time session. The benefits of story time for children include: increase attention span, enhance visual discrimination skills, practice auditory processing, reinforce word recognition, examine social situations and behaviors, and instill a love of books! Registration required. Meets on Friday, January 19th and 26th from 10:30 – 11:30 am.
